Program Description

Event Details

Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut will conduct a presentation on climate change in order to bring awareness of local, state and federal disaster assistance options in the event of a declared disaster (ex FEMA assistance) and how to appeal if denied.   They will also discuss the impacts of climate change on the environment, the increased probabilities of extreme weather and natural disasters (heat wave, drought, hurricane, tornado, uneven precipitation, flash flooding, etc.) as well as the impact on health within communities.

There will be a Question and Answer portion after the presentation.

Registration is recommended for event updates.
