Join us for a morning of building with blocks, just for babies and toddlers.  Young children will be able to enjoy building with duplos, and other large blocks.  

Join Russell Library at Wesleyan University's Beckham Hall (45 Wyllys Ave., Middletown) for a community book fair celebrating diversity in children's literature.

Get those brains calm and those bodies moving! We focus on mindfulness and movement in this yoga session for kids and caregivers. We will begin the session with a mindfulness-themed picture book.

dArK oXyGen is a sonic dance exploring choreographies of breath. The title refers to the recent discovery of oxygen production in the deep ocean where no sunlight can reach (thus photosynthesis cannot take place).

Mystery! is a Russell Library-run book club for mystery lovers. The book group discusses a new mystery novel every month.

Join us for a fun family storytime where we will read books and share rhymes and songs for kids birth to 6 years old and their families. After stories and songs, we will do a craft based on the books we read together! 

Meet our new baby chicks! Rent the Egg's Hatch the Chicken program is partnering with Russell Library to help us incubate and then hatch chicken eggs. The eggs will be delivered on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.
