Hang with the Chicks

Meet our new baby chicks! Rent the Egg's Hatch the Chicken program is partnering with Russell Library to help us incubate and then hatch chicken eggs. The eggs will be delivered on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026. Expected hatching occurs around Tuesday, February 24th. The chicks will live in the kids department until pick-up by their mother farm on Tuesday, March 10th. On this Saturday, come visit with the chicks and learn about them from staff members. Gentle petting will be permitted. Younger children will need close adult supervision.
