Event Details
Russell Library will be hosting chicks from July 9th through August 12th. They will arrive as eggs, hatch, and hang out in the children's department until they start to outgrow their cage. On this Saturday afternoon, a Russell Library staff member who is a current member of Middletown High School's Department of Agriculture will be in the Activity Room with the newly hatched chicks to answer questions. Gentle, supervised petting will be allowed.
The chicks will also be available to observe at the children's desk every day during opening hours from July 9th until August 12th. Estimated hatch date: Tuesday, July 30th! Stop by to watch them hatch and grow.
Funding for this program is provided by Russell's The Friends of the Library.
