Date with a Duck

It's like Hatch the Chicken but with ducks. 

Rent the Egg's Hatch the Duck program partners with Russell Library to help us incubate and then hatch duck eggs. The eggs will be delivered on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026. Expected hatching occurs around Monday, August 3rd. The ducklings will live in the kids department until pick-up by their mother farm on Tuesday, August 11th. On this Saturday, come visit with the ducklings and learn about them from staff members. Gentle petting will be permitted. Younger children will need close adult supervision.
