AmeriCorps Healthy Communities, the Community Health Center’s Public Health AmeriCorps program is offering a free 1-hour health education session! This session will cover basic health care information such as patient rights and responsibilities, tips for reading a medicine label, nutrition tips, information on chronic diseases, and more. As a program of the Community Health Center (CHC), they also are able to connect individuals to care at a CHC facility, like the one at 675 Main Street here in Middletown.

Health Education participants will be asked to complete two short pre/post-tests at the start and finish of the presentation so that the AmeriCorps Members can evaluate the presentation content. Attendees will also receive a resource packet with some of the key information from the session to take home with them.

Registration is strongly encouraged, as there are only 20 seats available.
