A free lecture by Joseph P. Slaughter, Assistant professor of history, Wesleyan University on his new book, Faith in Markets: Christian Capitalism in the Early American Republic.

Professor Slaughter, Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Guns and Society, Wesleyan University, will also speak about his current research on Samuel Colt (1814-1862), Hartford inventor and industrialist who made his fortune selling guns as founder of Colt Manufacturing Company.
