In celebration of Middletown Pride on June 7, Russell Library will serve as a supporting location near the goings-on of Main Street. If you're busy attending the PrideFEST march, rally, showcase concerts, and/or tea dance downtown, rest assured that Russell Library is here if you need a break from the heat, to use a public restroom, a strong WiFi signal, some peace and quiet, or even a good book. You're welcome to come and go any time between 9am-5pm.
During our "Pride Party" you may also:
- get a limited-run #middletownpride library card (available to Middletown residents while supplies last)
- pick up LGBTQIA2S+ free book giveaways
- quench your thirst with a tasty mocktail in a reusable Russell Library tumbler with lid and straw (yours to keep)
- satisfy your hunger with fresh-popped popcorn
- entertain kids with inclusion-themed crafts, face painting, and goodie bags
Mocktails and popcorn will be served between 10:00am-12:00pm and 3:00pm-4:00pm in Russell Library's lobby.
Face painting and a rainbow crown craft will take place between 10:00am-12:00pm in the Activity Room.
Kids' goodie bags and book giveaways will be available while supplies last.
